This Friday is set to be a very exciting day for myself. I am a very enthusiastic hockey fan, and this Friday, the NHL Entry Draft is being held at the Staples Center. It will mark the first time the Draft has come to California, and I am thrilled to have the chance to see future stars and role players of the sport. It’s no secret that ice hockey isn’t for everyone, so I’ve learned to temper myself around others when the topic may be brought up. But I feel so elated about the occasion to even further my madness. Ever since I was nine or ten, my subtle interest in the sport of hockey has slowly matured into the grotesque and ever present monster that it is now. I suppose its like being a crack addict. I have shoot-up statistics into my brain no less than every two to three hours. I get itchy and scratchy whenever I see ice, any type of skates, or individuals with missing teeth or three-inch beards. However, after entering S.P.A, (Sportaholics Anonymous), it seems that the worst is behind me. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I have a 6:00 date with ESPN.com
